Creating Outdoors Rooms
Fine Lawns and Gardens can transform your backyard into a luxurious outdoor living space. The
project below was completed in the fall of 2005. We will be posting pictures of the project
throughout the 2007 season to highlight the seasonal changes in the landscaping.
Prior to the start of construction, there was
expansive lawn and minimal landscaping.
The completed project includes patios, spa,
pergola, walls, columns and fireplace.
The fireplace room is under the pergola and
one step below the dining room patio. These
two elements help to separate the various
'rooms' creating a different atmosphere for
each space.
The spa is several steps below the dining
area. Columns and wrought iron fencing
enclose the spa for safety and the heavy
landscaping serves as a privacy buffer.

Patios with Old World Charm ...
A second smaller table provides additional
room for less formal meals or casual
conversation. The brown and gray flagstone
patio mimic the colors of the stone columns.
As visitors meander around the corner of the
house, they get a glimpse of the pergola but
many of the features remain to be seen. The
lush landscaping will provide color all season.

This large flagstone terrace has distinct areas, each with their own individual style. The living room
area under the pergola is one step below the main terrace. This change in elevation helps to
separate this 'outdoor room' from the other areas. It also has a built in fireplace and planting bed
along the house to make the space cozy and inviting.
This multi-level terrace provides the customers with different areas to entertain their guests. The
'living area' is located under the pergola, the small round table is out in the open and the main table
is under the protection of the umbrella.
